Baby A is sick

Last night when I got home from work, I noticed A sneezing unusually. Ung ilang beses sa isang oras. I dropped the thought na he has cold kasi wala naman lumalabas.

I set him early to bed, my plan was to change his sleeping routine to 6pm just like when he was little, but it did not happen. He slept around 10pm and I was too sleepy narin kaya sinabayan ko na. He woke up after an hour or two and cried like as if he was bitten by something. I checked his legs and everything but there's nothing so, I carried him with the hope that he'll find his sleep in my arms and it was successful. But an hour, again, he woke up and cried. It was like that until 5am and he did not sleep anymore. (imagine my situation, walang tulog mula 2am yesterday and today, bongga!)

He kept sneezing and this time it's with a fluid already. Every time he starts to sneeze it will followed by another one and another and another. His eyes are red and teary. Awang awa na ko sa anak ko.

I found a decongestant med, he used it before nung huling nagkasipon din siya. My leftover pa kaya pinainum ko na after I gave him a warm bath. And after an hour nakatulog na siya sa wakas.

Ganito pala ang feeling. Mas gusto ko ng ako nalang wag lang siya. Ang bata niya pa e, ayoko nga rin sana painumin ng gamot kasi nga he's too young pa but I don't have a choice. I can't stand seeing him like that ng matagal pa. And he needs to be well before his Measle Vax next week. I decided to take an off from work, we both did not have a decent sleep  kaya we'll sleep the whole day if kaya.

I'm positive na he'll be alright soon. Jusme! Kahit sipon lang yan nahihirapan padin siya. I was just so worried because his not that bibo eh, usually kahit masama pakiramdam niya tumatawa pag nilalaro, this time iba talaga, cry cry talaga siya and pakalong ng pakalong.

Poor baby. Oh well, that's just for now. Please pray for my baby na maging okay na right away.

Keep safe and healthy Dolls!

Oh yes! Weekend

Hello Dolls! How's your weekend? I know, I know... too late to ask haha. If you'll ask mine, well, I must say good and bad, but we'll stick with the good ones right?!

It was good... as usual bonding time with my boys. Why bad? wag na, good vibes tayo dapat lagi!

Nothing really special happened the weekend just gone. We just stayed home, I organized our closet with the help of our little monster kahit ginugulo niya lang.

He's too busy making those clothes that I've already folded. That's past 9 in the evening pero hyper pa siya. I'm glad narin because he's learning, exploring anything inside the house. I can understand that he's on track and I don't worry that much when it comes to his milestones, I know he'll find out everything he needs to learn soon. In the meantime, we'll enjoy him and take things one step at a time.

Busy sa pagtetext, ayaw magpapiktur. LOL

Weekend equation.
No work = Bonding time

How about you dolls? Do you enjoy weekend bonding with your family? share it with us!

10th Year Love Sign

We celebrated our Anniversary last night and the traffic was so dense. We decided to meet somewhere in Cubao and have dinner nalang. It was late already and we don't have enough time to select a nice restaurant to eat. We passed along Araneta and we saw a bunch of street-food beside the Coliseum itself. Kagabi ko lang nakita yon, I was so amazed kasi may ganun na pala don. Cool! Kaso it was too crowded. We kept walking and passed by a Silver Jewelry Store and I found myself having this pierce on my left ear. First time niya magpabutas, me of course hindi pero mas kabado ako sa kanya, ang ending?! na-murder tenga ko.. punyemas! medyo masakit ah.

Me: Tapos na ba?

Woman: Holding the gun. Wait lang Ma'am hindi po tumagos. Ayusin lang po.

This time the woman asked for an assistance from her colleague and the two of them did something in my ear na hindi ko nakikita and ramdam ko na ang sakit.

Ace: Wag ka malikot mah, uulitin ata.

Me: Ano?? Panic mode.

And suddenly... Poooook!

Me: Huwaw!

Letsugas! Without my permission at all basta nalang bumutas ulit? Ano tingin nila sa tenga ko? Papel and puncher lang ang peg? Grrrr

We went off from that store na nakabusangot ako. Sa inis ko, I ate that big slice of Pizza at S & R alone. Normally hindi ko nauubos un. That woman.

Yaan na, as long as he's happy, gow!

Tips on how to live a better life

How to live a better life? Here’s how..

Source

  •  Take a 10-30 minute walk every day, and while you walk, SMILE. It is the ultimate antidepressant.
  • Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.
  • When you wake up in the morning, pray to ask God's guidance for your purpose, today.
  • Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
  • Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, broccoli, and almonds.
  • Try to make at least three people smile each day.
  • Don't waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
  • Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.
  •  Life isn't fair, but it's still good.
  •  Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Forgive them for everything !
  •  Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
  • You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
  • Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
  • Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
  • No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
  •  Frame every so-called disaster with these words: “In five years, will these matters?”
  • Help the needy, be generous! Be a 'Giver' not a 'Taker'
  •  What other people think of you is none of your business.
  • Time heals everything.
  • However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
  • Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
  • Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
  • Each night before you go to bed, Pray to God and be thankful for what you'll accomplish, today!
  • Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
  • Share this to your love ones to help them lead a happier life.

Let's stay happy and positive in life. It's not how things look, but instead it how you look at things. Being positive in life should start from us, Parents. We are responsible in giving good examples to our children. Live a better life, your children needs you more than anyone else.

October: Breast Cancer Awareness Month

There are several risk factors that can increase your chances of developing breast cancer. And while the risk increases as we age, there are certain preventative measures every women should do, whether she's in her 20s or in her mammogram years, to help reduce her risk of getting the disease. Read on for 10 things every women should do to help prevent breast cancer.

  1. Maintain a healthy weight. Being overweight or obese can increase your risk of developing breast cancer because fat cells produce small amounts of estrogen, which can fuel some cancers.
  2. Check up on your family history. How many people in your family have had breast cancer? If you don't know, now's the time to check. Having close family members who developed breast cancer increases your risk as well since certain risk factors are genetic.
  3. Don't be a stranger to your girls. Self breast exams may not have been given a ringing endorsement from the medical community, but you should still be familiar with how your breasts feel and look so you'll notice any changes.
  4. Drink in moderation. While that glass of red is good for you, excessive alcohol drinking has been linked to an increased risk of cancer. Stick to a one-a-day mantra if you want to reduce your risk.
  5. Keep exercising. Not only will working out help you maintain a healthy weight, exercising itself has been shown to reduce your risk of developing cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends 45 to 60 minutes of exercise, five times a week
  6. Support the cause. Everyone goes pink for the month of October, so pick a trustworthy organization and show your support. By donating time or money or dropping a few bucks on a cute product for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, you'll be supporting breast cancer research that will help millions.
  7. Know the facts about birth control. Taking oral contraceptives is one risk factor for developing breast cancer, but the risk decreases to normal levels the longer you are off them (women who took birth control pills more than 10 years ago, for example, have the same risks as women who never took the pill). Weigh the pros and cons of taking birth control and talk to your doctor if you want to know more.
  8. Assess your risk. It always helps to be informed. Know all the risks of breast cancer — even ones that can't always be avoided, like starting your period at an early age, having a child after 35, or never breastfeeding — so you know what choices you have. Check the National Cancer Institute or The American Cancer Society for comprehensive lists of lifestyle, genetic, and environment risk factors.
  9. Don't be shy at the doctor's. Your doctor isn't just there to admonish you when you admit you have a sugar addiction, she's also there to make sure you are knowledgeable about why and how lifestyle choices affect your health. Make sure you ask questions about anything that's unclear to you.
  10. Relax. Just because you have certain risk factors for developing the disease doesn't mean you'll get breast cancer, or that you should spend your life worrying about getting it. After all, the biggest risk factors for getting breast cancer — being female and aging — aren't exactly something you can change. Instead of worrying, just do what you can to live a healthy lifestyle — you'll reduce your risk, but will also feel better overall.

It's our 10th year Anniversary

Hello there October, my love month!

We are celebrating our 10th year Anniversary today. Date muna kami later, I'll make kwento tomorrow about it, but for the meantime ito muna.
Taken early this morning..
I greeted him in Facebook...

Pero ito talaga message ko to him... (weee! kinikilig ako ng very lite! Lol)

As I look back over the past ten years (can you believe it's been ten years already?!) I smile over the joys we've experienced and tears well up as I think of the hard times. But it's been a beautiful life. I like to think that the joys we experience are made that much sweeter by the difficulties we've faced. We've been through so much together-climbing several mountaintops, WOMENS (who made me cried a lot), moved from one apartment to another, and live without our parents guidance.

Today, on our tenth anniversary I realize that we are once again completely unaware of what the next ten years may hold. But as we continue to walk down that road I know that we will be together and you will be right there holding my hand as we walk through the valleys and reach the beautiful mountaintops. And I couldn't imagine my life any other way.

*I included some quotes that goes like these...

“It doesn't matter where you go in life, what you do ..... it's who you have beside you.”

“We have changed over the years, but the sparkle in your eyes is as bright as ever, and my love for you is even stronger.”

Life is a journey, and we need someone to share that journey with.

About moving out. . .

Oh my! We are about to move again. I mentioned it here before that we just transferred here in Antipolo last July. The original plan was to move into our apartment but things changed when we couldn't find a nanny for our son, Antipolo is far from our work and we need someone to look for Ayvan while we're working. We do "shifting thing" (me at night and him in the morning), but still not good enough so, we decided to stay in their house for the meantime.

Our apartment

I know you'll agree if I say that it's cheaper to live in your own house than renting and lucky of those couples who already have one. And now that we're three, we need to think more of our future than we used to. Having that said, we're going to move within this month. We got a Nanny for Ayvan, she'll be arriving this coming Sunday so I thought of some tips on how to make things easier when it comes to moving.

Moving is quite frustrating, but I guess it's just a matter of organizing and planning everything before the day comes.

Deep Clean
Another great way to take advantage of your still-empty abode is to give it a deep clean. Cleaning the floors, baseboards and windows will never be this easy again -- you'll have unhindered access to everything. Think about it: no curtains to take down, no rugs or furniture to move. And don't stop there. You can wipe down all the counter-tops, shelves and drawers. Run a phantom load in the washing machine, clean out the stove if it needs it, and don't forget the refrigerator and freezer. If possible, ask every help you can get to get it all done.

First things first
Among many cultures, it's a popular custom to bring uncooked rice and salt into a new home. Essentially, it's meant to ensure that the homeowners will always have plenty to eat -- rice so that your family will never be hungry and salt so that your kitchen will be full of flavor. Whether you want to adhere to this tradition or not, it's a good idea to check out the local market and get a few staples. Between you, your family, the movers and any friends who are helping you, someone's bound to get thirsty or hungry during the move. Why not be ready with a refrigerator full of cold beverages, sandwich supplies and other snacks? And don't forget to grab some cups, napkins paper towels and toilet paper while you're at it.

Find the essentials and organize
Don't try to unpack everything at once. Sort your carefully labeled boxes so that you only have to unpack what is absolutely necessary. This gives you the time to organize your space as you go, instead of being forced to toss things randomly into cupboards and closets. Look for towels, bed linens, toiletries and other essentials. Unpack a few clothes so that you'll have something to wear over the next few days. Find the coffee maker and your favorite mug. And don't forget to find kid's food and water dishes and a few of their favorite toys. Know where the main circuit breaker is and the water shut-offs are.

Make the Beds
While you're rooting around in the linen-filled boxes, unpack enough bedding to set up beds for everyone who is actually going to be sleeping at your house. If your friends aren't staying over (friends who helped you out), don't bother with the guest rooms -- you can take time later in the week or next week to get to that. For now, concentrate on the kids' rooms and your master suite. Make sure you find your daughter's favorite blanket and your son's robot sheets; if you want their first night in the new place to be a good one. And while you're at it, don't forget your husband's anti-snoring pillow.

Meet the Neighbors
After a few hours of unpacking, you'll need some fresh air. Grab the kids, put the pooch on a leash, and hit the street for a stroll. If you can, try to meet some neighbors while you're out for your walk around the neighborhood. If the family across the street is outside playing a game of basketball, stop by to say hello. The sooner you get to know the folks around you, the quicker your new place will start to feel like home.

Get Some Sleep
Not to be too redundant but … moving can be tiring and stressful. So, after you've spent the day schlepping furniture and unpacking boxes, you need a good night's rest. There's no need to stay up until 2 or 3 a.m. Those boxes aren't going anywhere, and by now, you've already unpacked the essentials. By getting an adequate amount of sleep, you'll be ready and able to get started on whatever you need to do the next day, whether it be unpacking the books, hanging all the paintings or taking the day off to explore your new town.

There you go, those are tips I've gathered for this topic. I hope this will help you in any way.
