#NuffnangMovieNight - XMEN

So, I received an email from Nuffnang and confirmed to it. Exclusive screening of XMEN with food and cocktails? Tempting, right? Who would say no if you're free.

My work hours is entirely up until 3PM every weekdays. Weekends are my off days. So, a film on a friday night will not hurt my schedule. I signed up, completed my entry and won.

I actually plan to go with Ace but he can't. It would have been a nice date for us. We never watched a movie together after Ayvan came. I don't know, maybe it's our work schedule that doesn't fit, or it's not our main priority anymore, or we feel guilty leaving Ayvan to his Yaya. I don't know. Watching a movie (outside) was never brought up as well. Maybe that's it.

I invited Kumare (Ace's cousin and Ayvan's ninang, Jojo), I told you I will not miss it. I'd rather drag someone else arm to come with me than dropping it. Haha. Lucky enough she wants to watch it too.
We came early, I think around 7PM. I know I was exhausted but not feeling it because I'm happy and excited. I was already awake since 3AM that day and the travel going there worn me off, but it was not a problem for me that time.  We roamed and by 8 PM we fell in line, got our tickets and eat.

The food was served buffet style. There's a colorful nachos everywhere, chicken lollipop, toasted bread with suasage on top, a delicious garlic pasta (Not so sure of its name).and an unlimited iced tea.

There was I think 5-6 small round tables outside cinema 1. There were no chairs. The table is good for 6 dessert plates. Some said that was the first time that Nuffnang provided real food, before it was just popcorn and drinks. I must be lucky eh? Teehee.

I had fun. XMEN was great. I really enjoy it. Thanks Nuffnang! Til next time.

The Nurture Run 2014

Yes! I made it. I also thought I couldn't, thanks to my antoking kumare who woke up early to go with me.

The original plan was, Ace will come with me since he's been dying to climb again and running will be a sound alternative. But came his new job that needed him to work until Sunday, the plan was altered.

Kumare has been jogging around UP every Sunday so, I thought she will be a perfect company.

The hard part was going to CCP. I'm not gala so there are places I don't know how to go via commute. Google was the perfect answer, but we still got lost. Hahaha that's how smart I am.

We arrived at CCP around 7AM already. We were eager to run but we got lost again. Hahaha. I think we ran the 3K trail. I know. Stupid. Haha.

We were able to attend the awarding. The HIZON family was there together with Izza the founder of BBB.

Here are some of my photos.

Water station. I admit I feel a bit rusty. This was my first run after giving birth last year. Spare me, OK? Hahaha.

Yeah, there you go. I'm so proud. I did it.

Oh Saturday..

How's your Saturday everyone? Me, I just chanced to have a headache, literally. You want to know why? Yeah, course you do. OK, I'm warning you, this will be a little dramatic.

Alright, I'll start now.

Zai (the new Yaya) came up to me and said she wants to go home. Just a Sec, did I tell you how long have she was here? With us so far? Oh boy, you don't want to know. 1 frigging month! Can you feel my frustration? Why I'm cranky? Here's the main reason of why - We bought her ticket coming here in manila, have her 1st salary given in advance and this is how she pay? How about the effort and time we spent just to bring her here? Not just that one, on her 15th day she cries to me because her kids have been ill and asked if she can receive another cash advance. Well any mother will buy that and I'm a mother, I know how it feels. I gave in and sent the money to her husband.

It's like she's on the cue, always. Ace has just started his new job. He will not be around that much anymore. We don't have someone who will temporarily look for the kid.

So back to my story...

I couldn't decide alone, I needed my husband's stand on this. I also don't want her to feel that we will stop her, thats illegal. And thus I waited hubby. When he came, they talked, I listened. I was astounded by my husband's way of negotiating. He's good. He knows well how to bargain. He sounded so mature that I almost forget all the immature stuff he always does, well almost.

Honestly? We need her. She works so well. She's very nice to Ayvan. Nothing to complain about and finding a substitution is not an option for us. Not until now, at least.

What happen after they talked?

She got carried away with husband's good bargaining strategy and decided not to go anymore. God, how I wish I have that talent too. So yeah, everything worked well after all.

Anyhoo, we're back in to our normal self. I took Ayvan on our rooftop and let him play. He also developed a new talent now. Guess what it is? Doing selfie the right way. Like smiling "all-teeth-out". Lol

Excuse my legs on that last photo.

Since the house was not in good vibes that morning I decided to cook our breakfast. It's a traditional pinoy breaky. Fried eggplant and scrumbled egg. Easy to prepare and cook.

Moral lesson here?
Do not underestimate other people.
Do not always, give in to what they asked. They have the tendency to go too far if you let them.

X-MEN: Days of Future Past

I have been a fan of X-MEN since I was a child. I've memorized all the characters and their powers. And I am lucky that Ace has the same interest. He knows more about them than I do. There was a time when we were on a date, we just talked about X-MEN the whole time. Its funny but I did not find it boring nor weird. For me its nice to have someone who shares the same childhood craziness. Haha

Now, another X-MEN is about to show and yes, I am excited. I will not going to miss it. I read somewhere that in this movie new characters will show and we will learn more about the leading characters since it will be more of their history. Also Wolverine will be sent back to the history to change the future. That's why it is "Days of Future Past" I guess. And that there will be a lot of  action scene daw. Ooohh I'm so excited!

Here's the trailer of the movie. Watch and mabitin! Teehee

So, what would I correct from my past to save the future?

Well, if I merely knew about "recycling" I would have been an advocate of it. Seriously. I mean, it will only not save the world but also save my Mom's money. When I was little, every school year Mom buys me a new set of notebooks, bag, shoes and lunch box. And since I know that Mom will buy me another one once my notebooks are full, I would strip away some pages if I didn't like my writing on it. If only I knew how papers has been made then I won't waste any of it, same as with plastics. If I had only known back then that those are environment hazards I would have used them wisely. I would have used my bag and shoes carefully. Yeah, that would make the world less polluted and could have lessen the trees that had been cut down for creating papers.

One DIY day

I  took a leave from work for 2 days and I got bored after staying lang sa house. Its unsual for me na ma-bored kasi taong bahay talaga ako and Ayvan was sleeping pa all the time kasi pagod kakalaro. His new yaya kasi is letting him play outside so hindi kami nakakapag bond that much which, led me to think of something else to do.

When I saw our not so big and humble bathroom an idea immediately popped up like a bulb lighted up on top of my head. *TING! Yung hooks!

I am talking about the command hooks from the Good House Keeping DIY event I attended last month. I grabbed them from the storage, read its easy instruction at the back and put them on like a pro. Hahaha it was easy kasi.

I got rid of our old sabitan. I bought that for I think P65.00 at SM Dept. I'll find a better place for it nalang siguro some other time. It is nice but we need to drill 5 small holes to install it pa. Good thing there are 2 holes na there when we moved, we just put screws on them, but it was not makapit kaya pag nilagay ko ung towel don and kukunin ko na sumasama siya pati ibang mga nakasabit. Ang hassle lang.

When it comes to designing/arranging our house kasi hirap na hirap ako. Hindi ko alam kung bakit. Pag titignan ko na hindi ko na alam kung saan magsisimula. Remember kalilipat lang namin last January and sumasakit talaga ulo ko pag nagstart ako mag isip kung paano ayusin ang bahay buti nalang Ace is very hands on sa pag aayos. Daig pa ako. Buti nalang talaga.

I had 6 medium and 2 small hooks. I placed 4 in our bathroom, 1 small at the back of our door for the keys, and 2 on the sides of our closet for our towels kasi si Ace may habit na pagkatapos maligo wala ng pakialam sa mundo kung saan saan nalang sinasabit ang towel minsan nauupuan ko sa bed namin. Kalerkey.

.

They're so cunning as they are. I will surely buy another lot of hooks but different color naman. Nakaka-addict. Haha

Oh di ba? I finally did something useful sa bahay. Those hooks are very handful. It didn't take me an hour to put them. So easy to do too! Plus they are stylish, neat and doesn't need too much space.

I would recommend 3M command hooks to those Moms who doesn't have much time to furbish up their homes. There are lots of things that you can suffice with them not just organizing your place and you can definitely do them yourself. But make sure to check the weight capacity of the hooks.

Try them out!
