Mind Museum: Why should Pinoys Bother with Science?

"Nothing has such power to broaden the mind as the ability to
investigate systematically and truly all that
comes under thy observation in life." - Marcus Aurelius

Science has played the biggest role in almost everything about earth and man. People just love to learn everything and that explains the modern technologies we have nowadays.

And good news! Mind Museum's Cafe Scientifique of the Month presents:

Why should Pinoys Bother with Science?

And also on this same day, they will be having a public event as a part of their celebration of Andres Bonifacio's 150th year. It is called SCIENCE SA PLAZA. Please check the poster below for details.

With our country being bombarded with catastrophe lately, We should take part of this conference. We should know what's going on and why as to be fully mindful of our surroundings.

The ultimate value of life depends upon awareness
and the power of contemplation rather than
upon mere survival. - Aristotle

**Cafe Scientifique is a world-wide movement to bring science closer to the public through conversations.

Mark your calendar [phone]. Science sa Plaza at 1PM and Why should Pinoys Bother with Science? at 4PM.

See you!

Blogapalooza 2013: My First Blogger Event

This has been sitting in my draft's list waiting for me to click that orange publish button. My laptop has gone - not gone missing, but the LCD has given up after Ayvan hopped on to it. Okay I got it, this is enough, I should be talking about my Blogapalooza moment. Hehe.

I'm not good in socializing, I'm a home buddy (home body). Hahaha! That's funny, but true. I'm tactful, but only to those people I'm comfortable with. I go out yes, to the mountains! Hahaha I'm sure you know by now that I'm a mountaineer.

Last Saturday, I found it [socializing] not bad at all at the Blogapalooza event.

2 days before that, Ace told me he wants to come together with Ayvan. I was reluctant because I know if they'll come for sure there's no room for me to socialize, and I will not be able to roam around that much. Also, it's my first blogger event. I want to cherish it as much as I could, take everything in without a weary mind and with them that would be impossible.I don't have much of a choice. So, the three of us went.

We got there around 2PM. I did not know what to do, I ended up asking every blogger I see if I need to register, where and how. Everyone was so nice. So, I registered, put the orange lanyard with my name plate in it and entered Hall 1 of SMX.

After we ate (btw, the food was good. I don't eat sushi, I just tried it there and I like it. Yum yum!), we seated and listened to Jason Cruz as he speaks on how to do proper branding on our blogs. Even hubby listened to it and punched in some notes on his phone.

Next was the hottie Karen Bordador. She's sexy and funny. She shared her blogging experience and advices as well.

And then the Boys Night Out - they're funny. And SAM YG is a cutie! Hahaha. Hubby was waiting for Ramon Bautista to come out and disappointed when he did not. He loves Ramon! Lol

After them was the people from Chooks to go, Mind Museum, Chef Noodles, SMX, and many more took the chance to talk about their products/services.

“Where the Internet is about availability of information, blogging is about making information creation available to anyone.” - George Siemens

FOR ME...

It was fast - to the extent that I'm not sure if I answered everything right - like signing up or talking to them, asking what their services/product all about, . I am completely overwhelmed, I don't know what to do. It was my first time.

But listening to the speakers was the coolest! I'm a newbie, I want to learn everything and I'm grateful that there's such a thing like this, where bloggers help each other. Good Job! I have never been to a Blogger event before and my experience from this [event] will definitely be treasured. I met few Mommy Bloggers - Nerisa of Baby Neo's Mom and Yem of Clueless Mom in Manila.

And that's my loot. I was too kwela din to get a whole chicken from Chooks to go.

Next year again! :)

**Pardon for my lack of pictures. I'm posting this using BLOG IT application on my phone. I will update this [post] once I got my new gadget.
